Jessie has had a spa day.....

Mandy said that Jessie, our doggie, needed to go and see a dog groomer to get her coat all spruced up for the warmer weather.
Steve said that was just like Mandy going for spa treatments at Auntie Nicci's salon
Unfortunately Auntie Nicci doesn't do spa days for dogs, only people. So we had to find another lovely lady to paint Jessie's nails (tee, hee!)
Well Jessie has just come back from her spa day (dog grooming) and she looks lovely. She's been washed, dried and brushed and nails have been cut - not polished though :)
Me and Charlie will have to be very careful when we take her for a walk in a minute that we don't get her too dirty - uh oh!

Jessie's birthday....

Jessie's birthday
We've had  our doggie Jessie a year today!
We love her so much we can't remember what life was like before we had her.
Me and Charlie wanted to get a Colin the Caterpillar cake (we all have yummy Colin the Caterpillar cakes when it's our birthdays), but Mandy said chocolate can make doggies poorly...... So we are going to have secret Colin the Caterpillar cake for us, whoopee! and a cake made out of doggie biscuits for Jessie.

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Jessie, happy birthday to you. Hip, hip, hooray for Jessie!

What a horrible day....

When me and Charlie woke up this morning we could hear tap, tap of rain on the window
Yuck! What a cold, wet day.
I don't mind warm, wet days but not cold, wet days
We went downstairs to get our breakfast. Steve and Mandy were already out in the garden fiddling about with some plants.
Jessie was just sat at the door watching
Charlie thought Jessie wanted to go outside so he opened the door for her. She just sat there and thought 'I wouldn't send a human out in that never mind a dog!'
So we all stayed in and had yummy toast and watched Steve and Mandy out of the window.....

No so good with other dogs?

Well me and Charlie started doggie classes with Jessie.
Mandy and Steve said that we have to make sure we know how to train her properly
She's very good at sitting and she sometimes even comes back when we call her (especially if we've got a tasty treat! Me and Charlie like treats, do you?)
The thing that she's not so good at is making friends with other dogs.
She's great with platypuses, teddy bears and people but she hasn't really got any doggy friends.
Aaahhhh poor Jessie I don't think the other doggies like it when she barks too loudly at them!
Well, when we got to the doggy class Jessie barked, then all the other doggies barked - ooh what a noise!
Then all of the other doggies stopped, but Jessie went on and on and on.....
The nice lady running the class came over and squirted water at Jessie with a water pistol.
Jessie stopped barking straight away, cooooool!
She gave me the water pistol and said that if Jessie barked again to squirt her.
Well she barked so I squirted her.....and then i,got a bit excited and squirted and squirted and squirted.....
Poor Jessie's little face was dripping wet.
Charlie is in charge of the water pistol now.......

Dog lick!

As you all know me and Charlie have a dog called Jessie that we have been training with cheese.
We think that someone has been training her secretly......
We think that someone has been training her to get you up in the morning by licking you on the cheek! Urghhhh my cheek is wet with dog lick!!!
Mind you it did wake me up pretty quickly.
Steve said that Jessie wasn't allowed in the bedrooms.
When me and Charlie went to bed I hid her under my quilt so that she could sleep on the bottom of my bed!
Charlie said that was naughty, but I really wanted to snuggle with Jessie - its like having a hot water bottle in the bed with you!
What I wasn't expecting was being covered in dog lick in the morning. She gets very excited in the morning just before her morning walk.
Well I'm off to wash the dog lick off my cheeks, and everywhere else......

An unexpected adventure....

Me and Charlie have been doing very well with the training our dog (her name is Jessie).
She's got us feeding her lots of treats for doing good, well nearly good, things.
She licks everyone and has a very, very waggy tail. Me and Charlie were looking forward to having an adventure with her. Well that was until this morning when we had an unexpected adventure.....
We had just been out for a super walk before breakfast with Jessie and Mandy.
When we got back Mandy said that who ever was last in must make sure the gate was tightly closed. Well I thought she was talking to Charlie. But ..... Charlie thought she was talking to me!
Yes you've guessed it, I didn't shut the gate and neither did Charlie!!
We we just tucking into our boiled eggs when Mandy said, "where is Jessie?"
We all ran out into the garden and saw it!!! ...... The open gate! No Jessie!
Charlie started to cry. "It's no good crying, we have to find Jessie", said Steve.
We searched and searched, shouting her name all the time. The man next door even came out to help.
Phew! Steve spotted here and shouted her name. When her lead was safely on we all gave Jessie a big hug.
We all went back to the kitchen to eat boiled eggs tha that gone cold, but no-one minded that, we were all just glad we found Jessie safe and sound.
Let's  hope we don't have another adventure like this!

Monster!!!

"It's a monster", shouted Charlie.......
Oh no, maybe not. It looks a bit like Patch the dog from our adventure as pirates in Harold the Pirate (Molly is just doing the drawings and then it will be available to all you lovely people).
Well Charlie was right it was a dog, a ginger one with a lovely very, very waggy tail.
We are so excited, but no- one is excited as Jessie, her tail wags and wags and wags. Charlie is a bit worried that it might drop off if she carries on...
Jessie is three years old. Me and Charlie are going to train her not to jump up as she keeps knocking us over as she is so excited to see everyone. We've got treats and everything. Although I'm not sure that I would count a funny smelling biscuit as a treat!!
Go to go and get on with the training......
